I love how these thoughts never come to me throughout the day but at night.I wonder how many of you have been there? It is that point in life, where you’ve done everything you could, yet nothing good comes of it.Your next step would only hit a dead end and it takes a miracle to get you out of there.Such a plight where you have nowhere to turn to but God yet you’ve prayed enough and it feels like God ain’t moving! Yep, it is the waiting room.The room where all doors are shut.
At some point in life, each one is put in a waiting room.So who are the ones put in a waiting room? Those whom God is planning to lift them up, those who need to be moulded and refined and those who are too impatient to wait for His time.A better question would be why would God put someone in a waiting room?Well God doesn’t act in random ways.For everything, He has a purpose and whatever comes from Him isn’t cheap either.Before He hands a blessing to you, He makes sure that you are fully equipped to handle it.You can’t just hand a sword to a baker or a carpenter and ask him to fight.He needs training and you are trained before you are handed that blessing only then His purpose could be completely fulfilled.
Here’s the hardest part, So what can you expect in a waiting room? Trials, spiritual attacks, temptations, past sins following you, criticism and judgments from the people around you.People will start to question your vision and the enemy will discourage you in many ways.Sometimes failures and rejections are a part of it too.So how does one survive through it?When in the waiting room, you got to do what waiters do, which is wait and serve.
1.Wait on the Lord:
Isaiah 30:18-18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
God does not gives us trials and temptations more than what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13) While you wait on Him you will also have your strength renewed which helps you endure it.
2.Serve Him with Praise:
Praise is your escape.You’ve got to praise your way out.Also, know while you praise, God will fight your battles for you.
3.Wait in the Lord:
James 1:2-4″2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything”.
I had written a whole article about faith, here’s one more point I’d like to add to it.The bible says: “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.-Romans 10:17 “Through times of waiting, most of the circumstances would not make sense and you would have a lot of unanswered questions, so when you wait on the Lord-The Holyspirit will point you to the ‘Rhema’ word, which is the word from the Lord.You have to hold on to that word but now you have to wait in the Lord with every bit of faith you have.
Finally what not to do in times like these?No matter how much the enemy provokes you, never utter a single negative word about you or your destiny.The enemy would use it against you.Never be afraid.Choose love over fear because You are always given the option to choose.Only share your problems with the ones who have the same spirit as you and those who are willing to pray for you.Never share your prophecies or visions with others till it happens.Instead, remind your self of the vision and His promise.
